BILLING POLICIES & FEES
United Medical Centre Caboolture is a Medicare Bulk-Billing practice.
We offer bulk billing to ALL patients for standard face-to-face, mental health, telephone and chronic condition management consults. Other procedures and treatment room services may attract a fee, please see below or ask our friendly reception team.
A fee will apply for missed appointments.
We kindly request that accounts are paid at time of consultation. Medicare rebates are processed at reception for your convenience. We accept cash, cheque, Eftpos, Visa, or Mastercard. Unfortunately, we do not accept American Express.
FEES FOR OTHER APPOINTMENT TYPES:
Fees below apply to all patients (including concession card holders)
Iron Infusions: $200, no rebate available
Cosmetic skin procedures: $150 - $250, no rebate available
Fees below are only for patients without a concession card:
Simple skin cancer procedures (e.g. excision): Upfront fee = $160.95; Out of Pocket = $100 (may vary)
Complex skin cancer procedures (e.g. flap/graft): Upfront fee = $210.95; Out of Pocket = $150 (may vary)
Toenail removal: Upfront fee = $110.00; Out of Pocket = $53.95
Ingrown Toenail wedge resection: Upfront fee = $225.00; Out of Pocket = $56.90
ECG: Upfront fee = $50.00; Out of Pocket = $31.75
Venesection: Upfront fee = $120.00; Out of Pocket = $47.65
Spirometry: Upfront fee = $50.00; Out of Pocket = $29.60
Other procedures or services may also attract a fee, please ask reception if this applies to you
SERVICES WITH NO MEDICARE REBATE
Our friendly reception team can provide information about the fees for the following services: Overseas visitors, patients without a valid Medicare card, insurance medicals, driving licence medicals, sporting medicals, pre-employment medicals, and Commercial & Dangerous Goods Licences. These services are not covered by Medicare and will be privately billed.
CANCELLATIONS & MISSED APPOINTMENTS
Missed Appointments:
Due to high demand, the Practice has been forced to introduce a fee for missed appointments.
If you have missed more than 1 appointment, a $30 fee will be incurred.
No further appointments can be made until this fee has been paid.
Cancellations:
If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment,
A MINIMIMUM OF 2 HOURS NOTICE
is required to ensure you will not be charged the $30 fee.
